I couldn't answer the poll because none of the answers were what I would do.

I can well appreciate avoiding being a victim, but one should also manage anger.

The first thing in my power I could do, is move the bike.

If there is a cop nearby, I would make him/her aware of the traffic infraction.

If the driver of the car is there, or if I had a scrap of paper, leave a note.

I would not, in any circumstance "teach the cager a lesson" (i.e. lose my temper).

Well, if that cager decides to back over the bike and claim he "didn't see it", the cops will be called, but because parking lots are private property, unless there was a personal injury (there wouldn't be), the police will not ticket the driver, therefore the bike owner won't be able to make an insurance claim and can eat the cost of fixing the bike.

Pretty stupid.

I don't think that SUV driver would think twice about backing over the motorcycle.

+1 They got the name Exploder for a reason.

Anyway, there's no such thing as teaching a cager a lesson. The rider most always comes out in a bad way.

Have a good one.

Where I live, the SUV wouldn't think twice about backing into the bike.
It's too risky.

In situations similar to this, I've watched a motorcycle key with moderate to heavy pressure go from front bumper to rear bumper without being lifted off the vehicle. BTW - it wasn't my bike key.

That's never a valid answer IMO, but everyone's different. I would NEVER leave my bike in that position. I'd mumble something about the asshole cager but go on about my own business.
