HOKAY, so after spending a good deal of time away from this site due to the lag issues etc., i also had the chance to finally get my frame and wheels powdercoated...
so yeah, here is the near-final project:
some of you may have already seen this on the DML, or know it or me personally, but for those of you who don't, the bike was a severely neglected 1997 916 when i first got it and gradually has transformed into the beast that it is today. the motor is a mostly stock 2002 900SS as well as the harness/TB's etc. the one-off battery box, headers/exhaust, frame and engine case mods were done by me and a couple of great friends, and also the tail was hand made by me.
it's seriously one of the most fun and comfortable (besides the noise which is greatly reduced by a nice pair of earplugs :^) bikes i have ever owned.
