What does it mean when someone posts "bump"? Typically in a sale or offering.

It's a way to bring the post to the top of the pile and generate some renewed interest.

2. To cause to knock against an obstacle.

If you respond to a thread it puts that thread back on top of that forum so bumping a thread by making a post will put it back on top.... and I don't know how to say that in spanish.
