A few questions...
- What happened to the "Report Post" buttons?
- What happened to the list of moderators for each forum?
- Do any of the "Rules of the Road" guidelines still apply?
- If so, who's actually monitoring these things?
- Are there still any "real people" running the show here, or is it all up to some corporate robot?
- Why is it that a business owner can spam the forum constantly for free and it's okay, but if some guy wants to mention that his buddy has some parts for sale, his thread is deleted?
That's a start. We'll get into it more later...

I'll tackle some of these...
"What happened to the "Report Post" buttons?" No idea...Scott?
"What happened to the list of moderators for each forum?" Ditto...
"Do any of the "Rules of the Road" guidelines still apply?" Yes, Scott's original vision of this site was wordily outlined in the "Rules Of The Road", and it's still as valid today as it was when it was written.
"If so, who's actually monitoring these things?" Scott and Rainman are still the site administrators, Amullo, Butch, vduc, geospencer, stryder, IN2VWS and myself are the most active moderators, with help from a few others on occasion.
"Are there still any "real people" running the show here, or is it all up to some corporate robot?" "Admin", Yung from Vertical Scope pops in from time to time and we can talk to him about problems, quirks, whatever, but we are left up to our own devices on running the board. Vertical Scope is remarkably hands off with regards to day to day moderation of the board. There are no corporate guidelines we must follow, nor have there been any changes in moderation of the board. Scott's original vision as outlined in the Rules Of The Road still stands. VS has never overturned or even questioned a decision made by any of us.
"Why is it that a business owner can spam the forum constantly for free and it's okay, but if some guy wants to mention that his buddy has some parts for sale, his thread is deleted?" Site Sponsors and Vendors are allowed to post in the forums "from time to time" about something they may have going on that a particular segment of the board may be interested in, but we've left that pretty open ended and self policing. As far as Admins PM Advertising, I don't think you'll see that happen again.
Otherwise, the classifieds are for members of the board.
We don't have hard and fast rules for a lot of areas and events on this board. Rather, there are "guidelines" we follow, but the rules are allowed to sway with the tide and mood of the board. As an example, and this is just one moderators viewpoint, in the past I have been rather heavy handed around here, and that worked well. However, we seem to have a lot of new, younger members that expect a little more latitude, so I've backed off a smidge and let some things go that are harmless in the long run but may help some members feel more at ease here. If that gets pushed too far, and I'm sure it will at some point, then I'll start enforcing closer to the letter again.
These message boards ebb and flow with the changes in participating members. This is a big one in the grand scheme of things, and we try to move along with the current mood of the board. You can't do that with strict rules and regulations.
I dunno if any of that helps, but it's a start.

-I'm not sure what happened to the "Report Post" button but you are right it should be here and I will see if we can get it back.
-There is a link at the bottom of the main forum page with a list of moderators for the forums: View Forum Leaders
- ALL of the Rules of the Road still apply!
- We are all monitoring it and NO it is not some Corporate Robot! You would probably be amazed how much work we do and how much time we spend here.
-I am sure I know what post you are referring to (in the NorCal forum) and am dealing with it. I had left the post but was exchanging emails with a member of the motorcycle shop to see if we can get them on board as a Vendor. I do agree with your stance on this but I also deal with this motorcycle shop on a regular basis and am giving them some leeway due to that.
- Looking forward to the "more later"....

Spam on the Supersport forum
Until the "report post" button gets back, if someone could take a look at some of the spammers that are appearing on the Supersport forum, and could deal with them, that would be great. Examples:
Easiest way to get new Crush Washers?
new to Ducati forums.
new to Ducati forums.
Need assist with Showa fork rebuild
May be others too, and likely in some of the other forums. They look like one-shot deals, but with similar spammy signatures.
Thanks,
Bryan

Yep, thank you. Those are all over the place, and they're harder to find because they are blended into the middle of posts. Unless us moderators read every single thread, we won't see them.
I search them out and nuke them as I find them, but alas, I/we can't be everywhere.
