Which one of you keeps redirecting my post?
Seriously! You redirect me to the "Regional Northwest", or more appropriately "Rarely Noticed" section of this forum when I post something which I am really wanting to share with everyone? Twice?
This is the coolest event we have had all year, I sent a link to a local news story about it, and you don't think it's appropriate to share with Ducati enthusiasts all over the country?
I'm a sponsor of this forum and do my best to be a helpful voice. From our feedback here, my sense is that we are appreciated for that. WTF? I'm not even worthy of a pm? An explaination? You just yank it off twice even though it's getting viewed? Really?

Your posts were moved by both Scott and myself as they were regional in nature. One is in the Northwest section and the other is in your own Bend Euromoto section.
As a rule, when we perform moderation duties on this board, we don't PM every person whose post gets moved as the workload and time invested would get out of hand quickly.
I'm sorry you don't like that.
BTW, thread moved to the Help section...

Kathy Jo, sadly your post(s) do not mention the epicenter of the universe, aka New York. Sponsor or not, it's probably a good idea to say something like "2800mi west of New York" instead of "Bend." I didn't move or delete your posts, but wish I could on threads like this: CAUTION! RIDERS IN AND THRU NEW YORK CITY: Termis Fail Exhaust/Noise Ban

The news station video that is linked in Kathy's post is quite good. Nice to see some solid positive coverage instead of motorcycle = bad.

So then how do you explain the OCC thread? "Check out our shop, come on our rides, look at our facebook page." Don't get me wrong, I think they are representing themselves very well here, but what's the difference?
I guarantee I can find numerous threads which remain on the Chat section that fit the criteria you have just described which resulted in you moving mine.
Here's my intention with this post (other than shameless self promotion which is obviously at your disgression, sponsor or not). Nick Apex and Ernie Vigil (hyper stunt riders) are available to Ducati dealers across the country, but we have to pay for the performances. There are many dealers who may be on the fence about spending money on an event like this, so feedback from our event could impact their decision. How is this a regional subject?
I don't know if you have seen these guys at an event but it's fantastic. It brought so many new people to our doorstep, packed our store, our Ducati customers ate it up. In combination with the Hyper Truck demo day, this event was our best one to date, and believe me we have had some scorching parties. The point is, it was all about Ducati. It was all about using the amazing tools that we have an opportunity to take advantage of for our customers, for all of us here in this forum, all over the country. But if it gets swept under the rug (ie, moved to the "never viewed" section), the buzz never gets any momentum.
You know, you would think that a Hollywood stunt man and a nationally recognized stunt champion might have big egos and some attitude. They are certainly good enough to justify it. But these two guys are just the most humble, courteous, down to earth people you'd ever want to meet. They hung out with us as long as they could that night, they talked with our customers, they played with my dog, and not once did I get even a hint of entitlement in their demeanor. So, yea, I want them to get lots of gigs. I want people to see this in person because I guarantee you that it's the kind of fun that everyone needs right now.
So, can you see this? Can you move it back over where I posted it? If anyone happens across this thread, could you get my back on this?
Thanks,
Kathy Jo

Whew! OK, I give up...post it again and I'll leave it be. You're right...you win. I'll pull the other two, though, but I have to.
Here's the problem I have Kathy, and maybe why I'm a little sensitive to your posts: there are two people posting here from Bend Euromoto, you and Dave. I really would like to see only one screen name post here in an official capacity, that being the Bend account/name. You are of course free to post and interact, but not as a representative of the shop...just as a civilian, so to speak.

So can I...including a huge, multi-page Aprils Fools Day Sale thread...from Leopard. Not Bend. We had a discussion about that backstage and decided to let it slide as the members were getting good deals and everybody seemed happy.
Rule enforcement here is never black and white. There are always shades of gray involved. I try to play those shades to the benefit of the members as best I can.

All very good points, and taken to heart.... you are the man! I have been a member (civilian) since way before we became sponsors and I never bothered to change that, my bad.
And (in my best Valentino Rossi accent), I win, I win, I win!

Thanks for answering for us both Chuck because he is right on both why we moved it and that there is always gray area in these things. There is a lot of duties that only a few of us perform here and we try to do our best.

You guys have a seriously tough job here. I admire your patience and diplomacy, and I get the reason you moved it. Thanks, though, for moving it back.
