Attaching photos help

I just can't seem to attach photos to this site. I have tried everything. Several different macs. Safari and Firefox. Most of the popular formats (jpeg, etc) Low res. (50k to 500K). I click on the "manage attachments" button below the this box I'm writing in, then a new window opens where I then click on the "choose file" button and select a photo. When I then click on the "upload" button a message comes back saying: "Upload of file failed." What is going on? I have been trying to get this fixed for awhile and so far no help. If you guys can't fix it then I guess I need to open up a new account and see if that works. Please help. Thanks

Two things I can suggest:
1. Make sure you photos are sized around 640x480
2. Read this thread for more info
posting pictures in your message

Try posting in the test forum and let me know how it goes.

I'm in the same boat. Does anyone know how to take a large file and shrink it to a smaller size. The original is a 2.31 MB jpeg file and I need to get it in the proper size.

You can use a commercial program like Photoshop or you can use a free program like:

or http://picasa.google.com/

Hi scott,

I've tried just about everything. Seriously, as my post says: tried diff sizes, diff formats, etc. It has to be on your side of the tracks. I can post photos to other Ducati/sportbike sites, but not this one. This IS my main ducati site, so would love, love to be able to post photos. Worse comes to worse, could someone refund my $40 lifetime dues and I'll re-join again and see if that works. Thanks

Dean

I have never had someone not be able to post after jumping through a few hoops so lets check some of possible issues.
-First and the most likely problem to cause issues here on Ducati.ms is cookies that have gone south. Can you delete all your cookies and temporary internet files then reboot and come back to try posting again?

-Second thought, have you tried different photos? I had someone that had something corrupt in the code of their photo and no one could post it.

-Have you tried posting a photo to gallery here or another website and using the "insert image" ( ) icon to post by using the URL?

-Last thought, you can email the photo to me and I will try and post it in the test forum.
