No offense but this forum kinda sucks
Im new to the Ducati community and had the privledge of picking up a gorgous 01' 748 a month ago. I'm a huge fan of forums and frequent those such as honda-tech.com and kawiforums.com, since I have owned many of both.
The big difference between those sites and this one is those sites have model specific forums. (ex. 03-06 zx6r ....07 zx6r....zx10r...etc.) (88-91 crx, 92-95 eg civics...etc) All this forum has is "Superbikes" which gathers all models of ducati superbike into one huge collection of unrelated threads.
Why don't they group (hello moderators ) the 95-02 748, 916, 998, 996 into one link...then the 03-07 749, 999 into another ...and the 1098 into yet another like most forum sites do.
Personally, when I log on to ducati.ms I want to read threads on my bike, not those which are a different design and engine than mine. Anyone else feel this way?

there's something called the search function. it doesn't matter to me which superbike model that people are talking about. sometimes you learn something new.

Dude nice way to say HI... Given the classes of SB's (which obviously you are drastically unaware) are very similar in make up and design, this SB forum is very well put together as a lot of the info runs across the lines. The exception may be the 1098... but for now there aren't enought to warrant a whole new section...
So... +1 to what Chuck said...

Nope. I think this is the right way to do it. There's so much commonality between models that you can pick up a lot of relevant info from other models. If you want to see how not to organise model types in forums look at this one http://www.ducatisti.co.uk/index.php

Tee,
Most older Ducati Superbikes have a lot in common and it is basically the engine size that is different. Even the new Superbikes have very similar engines and frame.
As you might have noticed, the subject line usually describes what people are discussing and you can always use the search function to narrow down your query even further.
It might not be bad idea to spend some time on the forum first to figure out how it works before going over the handlebars and blasting everything and everyone and making new friends.
So lets start again, "What is your question?"

See this link is a great way to do it.
I'm not trying to bash anyone on this forum. The title was written that way just to get people to look. The search function is ok, but pretty chunky and you dont always want to look for things is that way, sometimes you just want to see what other people are posting so you can give your 2 cents.

Hey Mr. Chow why don't you purchase this site from Scott. Then you can do all of the work involved in it's upkeep and arrange it just the way you like it. You will find out as you become more familiar with your new bike that all the Ducati superbikes share attributes. More so than the Japanese models on other forums. I am in no way downing Japanese motorcycles. They just do not have as many parts that are interchangeable.

Funny, just the other day I was thinking that there was too much separation between models. Realistically, there is little mechanical difference between my '96SS and my '01 SBK. Hell, there's little mechanical difference between '96SS and an '07 HM and even a 1098.
So, maybe you should just buy a Haynes and then go back to your other forums. Or, you could hang out here, learn what is going on and then actually contribute something.
