Superbike sub-thread recomendations

Hello,
Let me first say that I absolutely love ducati.ms. This is an outstanding community with lots of great people and a great interface. There are tons of great info on here with many knowlegeable people. That being said, I have a humble request to tidy up the interface a little bit. I think the forums should be further broken up into individual bikes. For example, instead of just having superbike and supersport, etc, you should click on superbike and then that takes you to sub forums broken up by production run. For example, the 748, 916, 996, 998 bikes should be seperate from the 749 and 999 discussion. This is necessary because obviously these are different bikes and most conversation doesn't include both series. Especially in the superbike forum, if you check it out, a masive amount of new threads has to do with the new 1098 bike. It really doesn't make much sence to lump the 1098 in with a 748 or older series SBK. I also belong to audizine.com which is an Audi ownders forum very similar to ducati.ms. The difference is that they break the forums up not only by model such as the A4 or A8, but they also break it up by series. In other words a 1999 A4 b5 won't be in the same forum as a 2003 a4 b6, for example. I think this is a great idea and keeps the conversation better focused to what people want to talk about. No one wants to ask a question about their 999r and then have someone with a 748 dark chime in and say what they did which in the long run is totaly unrelated. I just think this would be a much more efficient way to classify the forum threads. Anyways, just my humble opinion/request. If you ask around I think you will get a lot of people backing this idea. Thanks for your time.

Having model-specific forums is definitely a step in the right direction, so count my vote in!

Great, thanks for the support. I think if enough people post positive here, we will get the admin's attention sooner.

Thanks!

I definitely agree with having model specific areas in the forum! I frequent gixxer.com as well (since I also own a '99 GSX-R) - but since it's a '99 SRAD - I don't need to hear about the problems someone was having with their Hayabusa! Their solution was the same - splitting into different specific areas - and it also eased "traffic" on the forums when it came to load times. Alot of positives - even if it sounds like a form of "segregation"... LOL

I absolutely agree. I spend a lot of time at an Audi forum for my car and it's the same way. It's a great setup. Hopefully my little project here will get enough backing to make it fly. Thanks for the posts guys, lets keep them comming!
