private message "pop-up"

i've got a new private message "pop-up" that won't go away. it's from a message that i've not only read but replied to and DELETED!!!

it doesn't happen until i check into a forum from the main page then use my browser's back button to go back to the main forum page. then my private messages magically go to "1 unread" and that pop-up window appears.

i've tried to delete my cookies and see if it was a problem on my end but it doesn't appear to be so can you PLEASE get this thing off my screen for good?!?!?!

tia, chiromikey

Mikey the problem is that instead of hitting the back button you need to hit the "forum" button because when you go back it thinks you haven't read it yet. .

i've NEVER run into that before.

this is happening for only one specific pm that i deleted a week ago. i check onto the forum main page and my private messages says "0 unread". i go into a forum look around for a while then back out of the forum and now i have a "1 unread" pm and a pop-up window for a pm that i deleted a week ago.

why would the site think i haven't read a pm that was deleted regardless of which method i use to go back to the main page unless there was a glitch in the software somewhere.

please look into this a little further.

I tried to clear all of your PM's from the admin settings on my end for you too so let me know if that helped at all. We will work through this...

logged in from a different computer and had some actual new private messages so i answered and cleared the account again. as you know i deleted ALL my pm's the other day. when i logged back in just now it went back to the same thing...pop-up window with the same "1 unread" and it also reverts back to the "60 read" pm's that i deleted trying to get this bug worked out.

That really sounds crazy. I'm going to see if I can get Andy to read this thread, I have never heard such thing and I understand your frustration. I may have you call me if he can't work it out and log in as you to see if it does it on my end.
