Yes, my very first Bimota. I rode the hell out of it for several years, had zero defects and zero problems, and traded it for a Tesi 1 Dsr plus $$$ to my Bimota dealer. Bad idea, as the Tesi was one fi headache, failed electronic dash (which contained the controller for the injection), need to realign the front suspension bits and pieces, and a bunch of other issues that left me unhappy with the Tesi and happy to unload it.
So the SB6 for the Tesi was a poor trade off for me. I found the SB6 to be fast, great handling and braking, and the 'state of the art' when built. Comparing the two, the SB6R is indeed faster, more compliant and more 'positive' in its handling. There was a bit of 'twitchiness' at the limits and in certain road conditions with the 6 that the extra 10mm in the swingarm and other suspension mods addressed so there is a distinct difference in ride and handling. I prefer the 6R over the 6, but I wouldn't rush out and toss my SB6 out for eating crackers in bed, it is a superb bike and I may not have 'moved up' if the original bike was still in my stable. Dave
