La Mauricie Park, it ain't winter yet! *30 pics*
*sorry, gotta cut this stuff up 8pics per post limit is teh suxorz*
So SaturdayI sold my Z1000. Sad day (well, not so sad because the next bike is lining up, but I digress), no more riding you say? Nope! A good friend leant me his ZX-14 Sunday, for a nice ride organized by Ducati Montreal. 20 bikes total, a bunch of Ducatis, a few BMWs and some japanese bikes too.
All real riders, as it was only 4 degrees at 9am ...
It was damn cold indeed. I made it through ok ... big fairings, proper gear, heated grips. Full comfort, baby.
We made a pause in Shawinigan, ex-industrial city ... the arrival is very scenic, overlooking the ... err. whatever the name of the river is. Not too bad. Extra bacon for the 11:45am lunch.
Thankfully, the clouds and cold wind disappeared leaving us with a nice brisk air and full-on sun! Very pleasant.
Almost 8$ to visit a natural park, that's kind of a ripoff. Whatever. We all fueled up before the 85mi (back & forth) of fun park roads.
Looks just as nice in real life.

I'd never been there, and had been told it was hell, full of police (because the road that goes through is so nice). Not a cop in sight, and mindblowingly nice fall colors.
Quite a few curves, too.
The nice Sport Classic hung around ...
We all stopped at this really nice belvedere. I certainly wasn't expecting it to be that nice. Note ATGATT on foot on the trail.
Yep, it's nice alright.

Thanks again for the pics!
Even though it started off being REALLY cold in the morning (~3 degrees / ~37 F for you yanks), we ended up having a great day in the company of some great people. Even more fun when we decided to speed up the tempo a bit ahead of the group...
All in all, it was a great day. ~560kms round-trip, and about 11,5hours for me...

We finished at night time, the sun and temperature went down quickly !
We had to stop get a hot soup and coffee, the guy riding the Monster 1100 with the Corse theme was freewing his ass even more that I was !
Hopefully October weather will be on our side !

I love the autumn foliage you folks get on the East Coast. Thanks for the photos.

What are the camera specs and how did you take some of those photos while riding? Beautiful shots...

Camera is ye olde Canon 10D, 6MP in all its glory. LOL
As for taking pics ... err, ride, snap away, sort when I get home. Nothing more to it.
