2010 Iceland: Riding on the Moon
I know this isn't a ducati ride, but I just came back from an exceptional trip riding enduro bikes with pretty hard core group of Icelanders in the very north of the country. Rode 12-14 hour days, with short breaks for sandwiches and hot underground baths... seriously, we climbed into cracks in the earth to get to these amazing blue pools to sooth sore backs.
Iceland is a bit of an undiscovered paradise. Completely pristine environment, quite arid (very few trees) and mars-like in certain vistas. The riding was truly hardcore... most of the guy in the group were enduro racers, with serious outdoors credentials: one dude prepares the cars for some top gear episodes and accompanied the top gear crew on their north pole expedition and volcano episodes. Other dudes were park rangers who spent their lives outdoors. We were bouncing over rocks next to sheer cliffs at 60-70 mph at times... sheer insanity.
Got to try interesting delicacies like sheep's head (bleah) and whale (guilt ridden for an environmentalist like me, but better than kobe beef).

I have seen photos of other rides in Iceland. It appears to be a very beautiful place and I look forward to your photos.
