It was a good weekend to say the least

Left Fremont and scooted over to Newark to pick up my co-pilot. From there
we took a not so short cut through Niles Canyon ( US 84 ) to skirt around Livermore to 580 E to meet up with a friend at the Eagle's Nest HD store in
Stockton. He and his daughter were on his Harley and we were on the trusty
ST2s.
With a few stops in between we made it to Red bluff to camp out at the Hampton Inn, nice place btw .
From there we tanked up and headed out to 36, very nice road banked turns
smooth road very little dirt.
I'm tellin yah she beckoned me to open her up and I did, my co-pilot was all giggles as we left my friend behind only to slow on the straights so they could catch up. It was warm until we hit the Trinity National Forrest then the shade of the redwoods was very welcome.
2 and a 1/2 hours later we hit the 101. Stopped at the first gas station to tank up once more and look for a place to eat. Found a little spot in Garberville for some much needed grub.
With a few more stops along the way and a slow trip through The Ave of the Giants we made it to Willits to camp out once more.
Fresh and rested in the morning we headed out once more back down 101 to 20 and crossed back over the north shore of Clear Lake making our way
stopping in Williams to have lunch at Granzella's.
Then it was back to 5 to slab it down to the last rest stop before the 505 split where we parted and vowed to do another epic weekend soon.
It was uneventful on the way home and topped off in Winters just to be sure. The winds picked up as we crossed the valley onto 80 and then to 680 on the way home going back through Niles.
Finally got the bike on the center stand for a much needed rest at 3:30 pm. kicked off the boots, peeled off the textiles and relaxed

All n all a great ride only seeing 2 CHPs and 2 Lake County Sheriffs the entire ride.
Average speed 85mph, average fuel consumption who cares !
Until the next one
