a good quick ride through the CO mountains this morning

left home at a little before 6:00am, rode about 290 miles through the mountains, home by about 10:30.

the route:

along the way traffic was pretty light, riding through RMNC, I saw a deer, a marmot, and a bunch of wild flowers. only stopped to grab one pic:

Nice image, nice loop, and nice bike.

Ya know, I once came across a rider at the Stone Cup in Lyons with a SF like yours.

All signed up for the 100K. Group of us gathering in the NW corner of the Foothills parking lot around 6:30a. Welcome to come along if you want. But I will probably be on a Munich thing .

BTW... How was the Trail Ridge road construction and road conditions?

thanks. I'll keep my eye out for you. Since my wife made me sell my munich-made bike to get the SFS I'll be on this one for the 100K ride. I am also signed up. I'll be riding with 2 friends - one on a Speed Triple, and the other on an BMW F800. at least one of us is on a BMW,

As for trail ridge - the construction kinda sucked - very bumpy and the SFS doesnt like the dirt that much. but with the traffic so light that early in the morning I got through it without much difficulty. the part they have finished at the very top is awesome.
