Took my wife on her first long ride this weekend

My wife has been riding for a little bit now, but has never went on a true ride with me. Since we were going to see friends in Twenty-nine Palms for the weekend, she asked if we could ride there. Well, of course I agreed and we had a great 100 mile ride. Here are some pics from the ride.

The first few pics are the 10 and Twentynine Palms Highway. The last three pictures are Hwy 79. I still love my CBR.

Very cool, I like the colors of your 999. I was in Palm Springs over Christmas Holiday, great area and nice golf courses!

Thanks Dan. Most of the desert cities are pretty nice.

Did you have the bike painted or did you buy it that way? I really like the Senna color scheme. Glad your wife liked the ride, pretty cool.

Just got back from Palm Springs and went up to Big Bear hwy 38 looked like a blast to ride down. How are the winds going through desert, know I could feel them in cage?

I had it painted. Decided I wanted something different. I was going to go with just a regular gray or black, but my painter recommended the Lexus Silver which has a metallic flake to it. Figured it would look good with the frame and sub-frame painted red and the gray rims. The fact that it has some similarities to the Senna scheme was completely coincidental. Matter of fact I didn't really realize it till now. Lol.

The winds weren't too bad. The two left lanes are a pain in the butt on the 10. They have bumps or something in them that makes you feel like you are about to rattle apart. Other than that it isn't all that bad.
