Mt Lemmon, bad day at work, and my hypermotard
Hey guys, went in to talk to the boss today about my job; and ended up being suspended for one day, with notice this evening if I have a job or not tomorrow.
Sucks, but so it goes. I love my career, but one door closing is another opening.
so, without work today, girlfriend working, and it still being early (before the 100 degree heat hits) I make the choice to take a nice spirited ride through our local canyon road that is about 5 minutes outside of the city...with freshly rebuilt forks, and new tyres, I make the short trip to our local canyon!
So my first stop; a local break fest place to eat before I head up the mountain.
After that, a slow cruise through the city to the base of the mountain..

Another angle
A little higher up, it was starting to drop temperature FAST!
About half way up, this stop is called, "windy point"
And the view from windy point...That road is nearly 1000 feet below me...

Had to take this photo three separate times, the Iphone wasn't able to capture the sharp turns on the road. What you don't see is the sharp grade up the road going up
Wait a second, is that a golf course? at 7500 feet?
You guessed it...a putting green at a ski resort. I was going to ask if the lift would take me up, but I'll take that for another trip. They were still running the lifts!
At the top, I find this very nice and neat pizza place. Had some iced tea, and bottle of water, along with some relaxation and clarity. chatted with some nice people that live on the mountain about this and that..Really puts things in perspective. I'm freaking out about a job, and they are focused on rebuilding after a large fire swept the area some years ago.
So after the tea and water, and about 2 hours, I decided to head back to the city
While coming down, I spotted my fuel reserve light was on...and I was riding at a "spirited" pace; hey, new tyres means I need to get rid of the chicken strips! but didn't realize the amount of petrol I was eating up quickly.
So I take my time the last part, and roll into chevron thinking I'd need to push the bike at anytime!
After some fuel, I'm home! woohoo! Great ride, helped clear my head, and enjoyed my crappy "suspension" day..Now, waiting for the call to see if I have a job or not. tic toc tic toc
Right before rolling her inside!

Nice one dude. I enjoyed the ride with ya. Man, I hope all goes well with the job. But if not, There'll be another.
Job or not, I think you ought to go on that ride again tomorrow.

Cake!!
You should have called. I probably could have squirted out for a ride with you this morning.
I'm glad you had fun though.
I'm starting to put together some dates for the Cali run. I'll get with you soon on it.

Must be nice to be able to reach an altitude where the smog is at it's thinnest...
Nothing like a good ride to clear the head though.
Loved the pics, hope it all works out.

You gotta hate it when they make you wait and think about it ....
In the old days if they were going to suspend you would tell them to Eff it and just get it over with...
Cool heads prevail ...
Hope it works out for the best....
Money ain't everything ....BUT...
Nice photos , good ride ..
I thought you was going to run out of fuel...
Maybe that is a sign things will work out...
Good luck...
