I got to spend the last three days up in the hill country west of Austin. After a winter of nothing but short rides this was fantastic. It hurt a bit at times but it was worth it. But, I don't know, there was this one time when the butt burn got pretty bad All in all we rode about 750 miles. I met my friend Gordo in Brenham and then headed to Austin. From there we headed up towards Marble Falls and Llano. I just followed the GPS and looked for the curviest roads we could find that were paved and wondered over to Fredericksburg and around Enchanted Rock. At one point somewhere between Marble Falls and Llano we came across a place where a couple of Bald Eagles had set up home and were raising a couple of young ones. What a fantastic site that was. Just a fantastic time. Here are a few pix from the trip. In case you’re wondering, the goofy dance that Gordo was doing was an attempt to impersonate the buzzards sailing on the updrafts created by the hill we were overlooking the river from

Well Bill, I guess it's still pretty early in the season for Ride Tales. Not too much going on around here right now. Oh well, it's back to rainy and 45 degrees around here again but I'm sure Spring is right around the corner
