Chain saw the last few days.

If you havent heard central New England got hit with a wicked pissha ice storm a few days ago. My home town got hit pretty hard, we went several days without power and lots of tree damage everywhere. Here are some photos to show you.

First from my daughter.

Let me start with this photo of my back yard in good times.

These photo you now see are all from my property taken on Sat and Sunday 2 and 3 days after the storm.

No power means teddy has to bundle up too!

Some 70,000 people in MA and 100,000 people in NH are still without power

That's happened here a couple times in the last ten years, but not nearly that widespread. It's kind of beautiful, if you can ignore how much being without power for days sucks.

That was a BIG one. Amazing pictures!

I may be calling you for logging tips. Friday's weather report stated that a very bad windstorm is predicted for western Washington this Sunday with 30-40mph sustained winds and 90mph gusts. The worst hit areas are predicted to be in eastern King County near the Cascades.

This sounds very reminiscent of the windstorm which hit our area in mid December, 2006. Some homes in the Issaquah and North Bend areas were without power for two weeks. I was fortunate as my power was back on in less than 24 hours.
