Tag your it!

Thank you Dave, Roger and Pat for coming with me today.

I did right around 400 miles today, I would guess 60% in the rain. The ride home from Warren NH was in the pouring rain.
I must say my Olympia suit performed very well, it kept me dry for most of the day. I had a slight leak in the crotch area because my Velcro wasn't smooth. My expensive RevIT gloves that are supposed to be 100% waterproof sucked! Good thing I brought my Gerbin gloves. I switched to those in Bristol NH, the warmth was needed for sure. My Oxtar boots kept my toes dry and warm all day.

I meet Dave, Roger and Pat in West Boylston and rode up to the Swansey diner for breakfast. After we ate Roger and Pat headed home while Dave and I headed to Vermont. We had a dry run all the way up to Northfield to the Vermont tag location. When we left towards New Hampshire the rain started again, and it seemed to get dark early. As we crossed I91 Dave pulled up along side me to let me know he was taking the slab towards home.
I continued on towards Warren NH. I used route 25c to get me into the white mountains. This road is in rough shape, I don't recommend it for high speed riding at all. Once in Warren I found the New Hampshire tag. This is when the rain really started to come down.

My original route that I planned had me taking Hall Brook Rd thru Groton and into Hebron. I took it not realizing just how bad the visibly would be climbing up the hill. Good thing the pavement was perfect because I couldn't see a thing for some of the route. Especially when cars were coming the other way, head light glare was really bad.

I worked my way to Route 3 then Route 127 and finally Route 13 brought me back into MA. I drove around Leominster a bit looking for Elvis' Hot Dogs but was unable to locate it. I pulled into my driveway around 6:30 after 11 hrs on the road. Here are the few photo's I took today.

Thanks for the photos. There is something satisfying about defying the elements by riding in lousy weather and being one of the few motorcycles on the road.
