Over his head

I was out riding yesterday on my 250 cc scooter. Out in some twisties between Quemado and Grants New Mexico, Three bikes blew by me. I mean BLEEEEEW. A sport bike in front and two Harleys screeming " I think I can." Well 10 minutes later I came upon the scene. An older rider( Like me.) tried to follow the youngun on the JAP bike and ran wide. I think he broke several ribs as well as his shoulder being imobile. I ride alone most of the time. I've done some crazy shit on my Ducati and lived to tell about it. I didn't sleep well last night and felt sort of clumsey all day today. Light case of shock, I'd say. We all need our noses rubbed in it now and then.

I hate to see people injured, but more often than not, they are teaching themselves a lesson.

At least the injured rider will ride another day. It was a year ago that I was on a ride where there was a fatality.
