Sunday in New Hampshire

Warning, if your a sniffling, whining, bleeding heart liberal you might not like this trip report. You should just skip over it if you cant take a joke! I might even take a few shots at the RIGHT side!
For all others let me tell you about my ride on Sunday.
First of all. Let me explain something, Im a republican, not a huge fan of John McCain, but I support my party 100 % in this election. I cant for the life of me believe someone as liberal as Barack HUSIAN Obama is gonna get elected. Now I know how all you Bush haters must have felt for the last 8 years
If you believe all the polls the great and powerful O is even in the lead in New Hampshire. The state to my north that usually votes like the rest of America and not with the flaming Liberals of MA. I like to ride in New Hampshire this time of year to see all the signs on the sides of the roads. People in the granite state take this stuff serious and they want everyone driving on their roads to know where they stand.
I left WB and head north. But first I needed to stop at the Wachusett Country Club. No rich republicans were out playing golf just yet. I'm sure they were too busy hiding some of there cash before the end comes. But the sun was shining.

Along the way I noticed how much my Speedo was off. Because I don't know fuzzy math I needed to get to an even number to figure out what percent it was off. 7% it is.

Once into NH I spotted a cool looking truck on the side of the road that was for sale. Not sure who's Old Fuddy Duddie it was, but it sure caught my eye.

Rt 13 brought me north into one of my fav little villages. The whole ride up to Mont Vernon I was pretty surprised to see such a large amount of McCain/Palin signs and very few Obama ones. But this changed once I hit this village. It seems the Obama switch was hit and every one had one. Right in the center of town I stopped to check out this house.
First you see this one..

Then next you see this...

I dont know if this is where James carville and Mary Matalin live but it sure must be interesting during dinner. I bet she's a Yankee fan as well!

Once out of Mont Vernon, Im not a fan of this town anymore! I fell back into McCain territory. It must have been for every 10 McCain signs I would see 1 Obama sign. Lots of big ones too!

I reached Goffstown and found myself in the center of town looking at this statue.

Look what they did to this poor fella. Just an innocent war hero, a republican I sure defaced by a group of union thugs.

Back on the road I notice more signs..

I dont know who Loam is, but if someone is willing to put his phone number on his signs then he just might get my vote.
I stayed on 13 north until I reached Dunbarton where I took a right onto Robert Rogers Rd. Before I headed towards Bow I stopped to check out this guy. Another true hero of our country. To think he went off to battle at 15 years old, riding his own horse by himself to the battle of bunker hill to stand and fight with his father. General John Stark.

While riding down Robert Rogers I thought about the young men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice to our country. And continue to do so to this day. Some times this greater good gets lost when 2 parties are fighting for political power during elections. But one thing that makes this country so great is when the ballots are counted and a winner is chosen we unite and fight as one.
Robert Rogers rd turns into Dunbarton Center rd and is very nice and twisty. Fresh pavement as well. However the wind and rain from the night before covered the road in wet leaves. The duck cruised at a nice relaxed pace.
Once into Concord I found myself at Heritage Harley Davidson for another stamp.

Inside I was greeted with one of my fav harleys. Not a street bike but one that flys around dirt tracks throughout America. And a really cool pic hanging on the wall. I miss some of the old Motorcycle shops like the one in the painting.

Back on the road again I find myself riding thru Bear Brook State Park. THen south onto Rt43 for a little while. In Candia I turned onto some back roads that led me south towards Auburn.
I came across a beautiful old farm on Bunker Hill rd. The views south toward Nashua were just gorgeous.

Some other sites along the way..

This guy is everywhere!

Somewhere along the way I ran into this guy. Not sure where I was...Yeah right, I know exactly where this so you might just see this on a tag soon!

Rt 121 lead me south all the way to the great state of Massachusetts. How did I become such a hard nose conservative in the ultra liberal state of MA is beyond me. And my parents as well.
A quick stop at Kelly's Harley for another stamp. Then a short ride over to Moto Market to see what's up. And look who I run into

We hung out and chatted for a little while. At one point Ed said, Im surprised not politial threads have come up yet. I just smiled and said, jus wait.

At 2:30 I saddled up and headed for home. Over all it was a spectacular day of riding. The weather was just perfect, the roads were messy but nice and the company at the end of the ride was very pleasant.

Is this one of my last rides before someone decides that its not fair for me to be able to spend a day out riding my motorcycle wasting fuel? Well I certainly hope not, but don't be surprised once we are forced to start sharing the wealth we might be forced to share our toys!

Nice!

Grew up in NH.

I just made a trip to OH from CT (sadly in my car), and I will tell you that the ratio of Obama to McCain bumper stickers was NO WHERE near what you'd expect if you believe ANYTHING the Libs are saying in the polls. It was very good to see all the PA and OH cars with McCain - Palin stickers. A few Moonbats supporting the Messiah, but not many! Refreshing after living in CT for a few months now.

Jim, that's a nice ride report, but I have to mention...the reason you don't see many political threads on here is that they are generally discouraged because they bring out the worst in people. In this particular era, it's un-avoidable because it's on everybody's mind, but they usually wind up getting deleted. It would be a shame to see a thread like this one get deleted because your politics and mine (or somebody who takes offense at the pot-shots) don't jive. It's a sensitive area...just sayin.

I hear ya, and agree. Usually I dont get involved in that stuff. I just thought it would make a good trip report. And I tried to bust both sides

I just did another ride on Thursday with a few friends and some of them are Obama supporters. It really didn’t matter because we all shared the same wind in the face and enjoy life looking thru a motorcycle helmet!

Nice pictures but for the life of me it scares me to death at the prospect of that whack job Sarah Palin taking over as President. For anyone to vote for McCain at the prospect of her taking over is friggen nuts. Just look at her background and lack of brains will tell you that. She will have her husband as the Secretary of State. McCain will not make it to 80. Besides I don't want another Bush in the office, especially a person with anger issues. We need a level headed smart person, not some old thinking without a plan McCain. I'm also tired of his constant lying, belittling and badmouthing, what a low class dude he is. Its time we put ourselves back in a leadership role in the world. I work international sales and the ugly American is alive and well, our arrogance is well documented. Establishing ourselves by setting a good example will mean more business worldwide.

Why stop at all the Harley Shops? What is the idea behind getting a "stamp". Not being cynical. Curious.
