Breaking Benjamin, 2100km in 3 days

Hello!
Got the 1098 earlier in the month, after the ECU scare (I had an 848 Racing ECU in a 1098 body) bike was ready for breaking in.

First trip was from Port Harcourt to Calabar (400km roundtrip)

On way back to Port Harcourt, we stopped at Kono waterside for a picnic (wifes' birthday). Nice beach, no other persons due to current kidnap/secuirty scarce! We had the whole place to ourself. Did some water stuff and the kids had a swell time.

Second trip was Port Harcourt - Abuja (750km), Abuja Kaduna (400km roundtrip) and Abuja back to PH (750km)

I did the first oil change at 600km before the second trip.

Second trip was spread over 3 days.

I used a Kriega 20L tailpack and the R20 Rucksack with a drink pack inside.
My buddy was on an SP2 with Oxford tailpack and a tiny tankbag.

Bike was ok, really uncomfortable under 120km/hr but a joy above that. Rode through some rain with a water on the road, the tyres were better than I expected in the wet, did not have to back off much.
Hit a major accident halfway to Abuja and spent 1 hour to thread through 18km of cars and trucks. Temp stayed below 104 deg C. The heat from under was sending me crazy though.

See trip pics at link below, will try and link direct later

Thanks for the report and photos. We don't get many trip reports from Africa in this forum. Keep them coming.
