Khao Yai National Park, Thailand

Khao Yai National Park, about 200 kl NE of Bangkok

The riders, 2 Yamaha touring bikes, 1 BMW and my Monster. I'm second right.

Stopped to take pictures on a two-line highway. Not a car in sight

I've had my seat height raised since this picture. Being on the large size (ahem!) I shouldn't have been surprised about my effect on the rear suspension, but I was. Very flat scenery here. And no! I'm not rolling a spliff.

Arriving at the hotel.

A few minutes later, it was dark. The reflectors on my jacket seem to be the brightest lights around. Amazing how dark it gets in the forest.

Another crappy pic of a bunch of old blokes gormly staring at the camera.
FYI, my riding gear here consisted of Arai Super Rapide helmet, Komine jacket, Sidi Vertigo boots, Icon Recon jeans, knee/shin pads and Cannondale cycling gloves.

Didn't see any tigers. Only monkeys (nearly ran them over as they were sitting in the middle of the road, demanding food) and tame elephants.
Too busy avoiding running into them to remember to take pics. Sorry!

Tigers? Are there still some left in Thailand? I thought they would all be slaughtered by now. The Chinese need Tiger bones, Bear blatters, Gorilla feet and hands and any other endangered species body parts in order to get sexually aroused. Ignorance is still rampant in the world.

A few, I think.
They're occasionally caught on night-time camera traps.

Is there any speed limit in Thailand ? I bet your bike was over heated like crazy over there. Hot weather and slow pace of riding... right ?

Speed limit? Er,...I think so.
The bike only overheats in Bangkok traffic jams. On the open road, never.
