Fun ride with photos. MT, WY, and SD.

June 30, Wife, on her Speed 4 and me on my 1098 went 300 miles to the top of the Big Horns and back.
We did 700 in 2 days down and back to the Black Hills July 1st and 2nd. This time I was on my 998. Our friends Randy and Amy were on my 1098. We got back home to Colstrip at 1230 AM. My ass is still sore. I can only guess what Randy and Amy are like 2 up on a 1098. My tank bag helped me.
I guess this is why they make STs. When I get old, I am getting a Sport Classic... Oops, to late. Guess I will start looking.
BTW, if you are offered an AARP discount at a Super 8, just take it and say "thank you"

I was thinking we were bad asses, till my cell rang at 0130 at the Super 8. George was on his way home from Reno and wanted to sleep on the floor. He did 700 miles that day, and 600 the day before. On a 1990 750 sport.

George IS the man!

1st shot is in Broadus on our way down to the Black Hills.
On the way back we had a very good pizza, at the movie theater. It was after closing, but the oven was still on, so small town, we had pizza.
We were offered to watch the movie while we waited for the pizza to cook, so we watched Indy Jones. When the pizza was done, we were served in the theater. Candice and I ate in the restraint, so she could pick off the mushrooms.

2nd photo is in Spearfish Canyon, at Spearfish Falls.
The 1098 started intermittant stalling, so I left all and had a spirited ride back to town to get some iso alcohol to try to help.

3rd is at Rushmore.
Candice was mad because I didn't want her Speed 4 in the picture, so she took the photo.

4th was at Mount Rushmore.

Last ones on top of the Big Horns.

All those miles on Superbikes!?!?!?!?!? Your chiropractor/masseus will love you. Did you find out why your 1098 was acting up? I remember when I drove through that area in 1991 that premium gas was not available. Is it still that way?

Never did? Unlike many 1098s, mine never stalled. Now with over 3000 miles on it, it starts. The iso alc. helped on day one, not on day 2. It just came and went? The last 200 miles were stall free. None of the other bikes had an issue.
