We are not really that diverse a group. Although the group officially numbers 454, there are probably no more than 30 of us who are active in some way, which includes posting on the group site, participating in day rides or multi day tours, and attending group events such as the monthly Second Saturday Night dinner. Most of us are in our 50's and ride sport touring type bikes of some sort.
I am attaching two photos of the bikes outside the restaurant where the ride started. Italy was well represented by two ST4s-es (on the far right) and a Moto Guzzi California "Metal" cruiser (on the far left) .
It was not not as cold as it looks. I had to shed an inner layer of clothing. The open areas were warm althought it cooled off in some shaded spots at the higher elevations. There were cross country skiers at the summit who were wearing shorts and tank tops.
I lived in Phoenix for a year and I don't miss the heat.
