Snow was not supposed to come in until 4pm but it start early and it was fast and heavy. Only 15 miles away so I quickly suited up and headed home. First couple of miles not bad, just had a hard time keeping the visor clean; snow was sticking to it so I found myself riding with one hand only and the other constantly cleaning the visor. That got old fast. A couple of miles later I could not keep up. Rode for a mile with the visor open and it was bad; I mean bad. The snow was stinging and the glasses got wet. I would occasionally put my foot down for a few second to get a feel for the road surface and noticed that it would go from wet to ice and back to wet but definitely could feel the ice patches developing. With it getting hard to see clearly, I decided to park it. Called the wife to let her know that I will be late. Called AMA to send a tow out. First time in 8 years that I had to call them.
Took a few pictures just for fun....

Wife came over since I was freezing my ass off in the wind and 34F temps.
Loading in the truck. The driver was taking pictures with his cell phone as he said this is the craziest pickup he had ever done. Real nice guy, Tim a rider himself.
On the driveway. Could not push it up. It was too slippery
So the dumb ass that I am, I just fired it up and walked along the bike and into the garage.
Had to wipe the snow of the dash as I could not see if anything happened when I turned the key on.
Of course you guys would think that I live in Colorado or something but guess what this is DFW Texas!!! oh well.
