All Saints Day ride (part 1)

I am not Catholic, but I had to come up with a clever title for today's solo ride. Things started with a lunch of Spicy Chicken Wings on the back deck of Rory's overlooking the Edmonds waterfront. After lunch I rode across the street to catch the ferry to Kingston. After landing in Kingston, I rode to Hansville to check out the park at Point No Point. From there I rode back to Hwy. 104 and headed NW across Hood Canal.

Traffic was stopped on the Hood Canal Bridge while it was opened to let a submarine from Bangor and its escort ships pass through. Although I have seen subs drydocked at Bangor and have been inside one, I had never before seen one traveling through Hood Canal.

Once the bridge was reopened, I continued NW on Hwy. 104 and turned off at South Point Road to ride the Toandos Penninsula on Thorndyke Rd. I took Coyle Road south to pavement's end, turned around and rode north to Dabob Road, which runs into Chimacum Center Road, which I took back to Hwy. 104. I then took Hwy. 104 back to Kingston.
I had a nice ride and got back to Edmonds right at sunset.

Those are good pics & it looks like it was a good ride. It's always amazing to see subs moving like that.
