2 days, 1200 miles, 3 Ducs and a 15 lbs. cheeseburger

Sport-tourers don’t need a “real good” reason to get on their bike and ride, they just need “a” reason. And what’s a better reason than to go and meet up with a bunch of sport-tourers for lunch and try and eat some huge burgers at a place that is famous for making the world’s biggest burgers. Who cares that the place is in Pennsylvania and is 600 miles away.

Leaving my house, on the left my friend Sandy, my friend Rick in the middle and I'm on the right.

Mine is the one the left. My friends overpack, for just a weekend trip, I left my topcase at home.

Gassing up in Ohio. I'm ready to get going again.

Getting in to Clearfield, PA Saturday afternoon.

The next day we get over to the burger joint.

Over 100 bikes showed up for this burger eating event.

And here is our burger, we split that sucker between 7 people. No we didn't fnish it.

We eat and have to leave for Chicago right away.

This is the short version of my ride report, for the longer version go to my blog

Day 1: http://excessivelocity.blogspot.com/...eat-giant.html

Day 2: http://excessivelocity.blogspot.com/...o-chicago.html

Thanks for the report. That burger looked as though it had used some of the same "performance enhancers" popular among certain athletes.

Motorcycles and food seem to go together. I once read an article in a motorcycle mag about three buddies who made an all day quest of finding the perfect chili cheese dog. They were hurting after their third stop. Fast food teriyaki restaurants are popular out here and I would like to organize a teriyaki tour some day.

Yep - I'd have gone 600 miles for a burger like that. I would say I'd go "in a heartbeat", but with all those tasty fat groups, it'd probably be my last.

Thanks for posting .

After eating that burger, you could probably make the 600 mile return trip with having to refuel only the Duc.

Sold the SS in June. Nice bike, just.. it wasn't me. I miss those CF pipes though, I'll have to get some for my ST3.
