Your link did not work, but if you go to the home page, you can find it under Ride Reports.

That was a very entertaining report. Your tours are very different from ours in the USA. Do you have police escorts for all of your tours? It looked as though you had your hands full as safety officer. Your experience is a very good endorsement for the Multistrada.

Ups.. you right the link does not work. I try ti fix it but does not seems workable. I hope this will work:
Le Tour de Indonesia

Yes. we had a full Police escort for this tour. This tour is a bit different even with most of the tour I used to have in Indonesia with our local Ducati Group. This is a kind of formal tour where we have VIP rider (Malaysian Vice Minister of Information) who lead the Malaysian riders on this tour. On our side we also have IMBI Chairman who is the former Indonesian Head of Police who is also on the bike and act as the Chief of the Mission from the Indonesian side. The participation of Malaysian riders is also supported by the Malaysian government and that is why you could see the use of Malaysian Navy Carrier to bring them from Malaysia to Medan, the involvement of Malaysian Embassy in some events, the participation of Local Government at areas passed by the convoy. Apthough in most ride we could have the convoy in 1 group, officially we split the group into 2.The 12 Indonesian riders who participated all the time during the ride act as 2 Road Captains (1 for ech group), 4 sweepers (2 for each group) and 6 Safety Officers. I was one of the Safety Officers and we assist the Police for fenching the Malaysian riders convoy, make sure the each rider could ride safely, arrange the convoy not to be break in 2 of more for each group especially when we have to pass heavy traffic areas, assit the participants who had a trouble with their bike and transfer it to the sweeper, ect.. That is why I miss many good views and unable to take pics as I used to be...

I like to be part of abd enjoy this tour. I was good experience and also good from brotherhood perpective of both Indonesian and Malaysian bikers. However it was not very enjoyable ride from the size and time perspective. We could ride a lot faster a a small group and arrange things more flexible without too many formalities. If I ride with my Local Ducati Group, we never like to have a Police escorts. We are not passion enough to wait the Police escort with their HD bikes behind... Hahaha In fact with the Ducati bike size (compared to HD or Goldwing), we could ride any where (even to cross a traffic jam), any time with out the need of the Police escort, at all.

Nugroho,

That was an awesome ride report & some awesome pictures. I'm really glad to see that it was a relatively painless ride. Hope to one day see you report of riding in other countries around the world!! Well, best wishes & ride rubber side down!
