Run to the Border

Yesterday several of us from my local riding group took advangtage of a beautiful winter day and rode up to Sumas, Washington for lunch. Sumas is located on the Canadian border. We took fairly direct sunlit routes, passing up some of our usual twisty side roads as the temps were cool and those tree lined roads were still frost covered in the shade.

The surrounding snow capped peaks were beautiful in the bright blue sky. Attached is a photo of the group that I took at a break stop. That gentleman in the blue jacket is Bill Wahl trying to figure out how he is going to ride two up with his girlfriend Urs on his 1098s when it arrives in two weeks. In the meantime, Bill's yellow ST4s, which you see on the far left in the photo, will have to do. That is my ST4s on the far right.

Bill, do you have any close up photo's of the hard bag brackets mounted on your bike? Im thinking of buying a set of yellow st2 bags and having them mounted on my ss. But Ive never seen just how they mount the brackets to your frame.

I can take some photos. I suggest you start this as a separate thread in the SS section and see what others have done. It is the time of year when people are looking to sell bikes they don't ride. Maybe you could pick up a good deal on a used STor Multistrada and keep your SS stock.
