We just completed a Edelweiss tour at the Dolomites Touring Center in Italy and then kept the bikes for an additional week of touring on our own. Turned out to be a very compatible group with riders from Oregon, New Jersey, Texas, Alaska and Arizona. 8 bikes total including the guide with 6 of the bikes riding two-up. Here are a few pics of the trip highlights.
The Marmolada Glacier on the first day out.
Shot of the group on the way up.
Jaufenpass – the road up and at the top.
Day two group shot, beautiful farm, lunch stop and countryside all typical of the area.
Coffee break stop at “Little Canada” – A place that only a guide could find very close to Cortina, Italy. We liked this place so much we came back the next day for lunch.
The next three shots are from Passo Giau. The Dolomites are one of the most impressive landscapes I have ever seen.
We’re on our own now and have traveled from the touring center down to Venice. The first shot is the Main Canal and the second is the required pidgin shot from St. Marcs Sq.
From Venice we traveled northwest to Lake Garda. The first shot is from the west side which has too many tunnels to count. The second is at Riva on the north end of the lake.
Well, it all had to end sooner or later. Munich airport waiting to catch a flight home.

Just thought that I recognised something in those pictures in the beginning. Looked around in my gallery and viola! We passed there on our way from sweden to WDW 2004 in May 2004.
these type of magnificent pics almost make me green of envy ...
Once I'll find the opportunity to make a similar trip and thanks for sharing your nice experience!
Ciao
Joris
We are making that trip someday. Hopefully in a bit of warmer weather. The worst, or best depending on how you look at it, is that we'll be going over those passes on racing bicycles.
