Last October I was in the Santa Cruz area to meet up with members of the South Bay Riders Forum. We had breakfast at Flapjacks, then rode south on Hwy. 25 as far as Lonoak Rd. with a side trip to The Pinnacles. We then took Lonoak into King City for lunch.
I really like Hwy. 25: wide open expanses and very little traffic. You are in a no man's land between I-5 through the San Joaquin Valley and US 101 along the Pacific Coast. I hope to get back down that way this fall and ride Hwys. 25/198 all the way to Coalinga.
