Northern Washington State
I guess this is the reverse of the intended use for this forum, but I am looking for some local knowledge of the Wenatchee region of WA state.
I am planning a little loop from Canada to Spokane, west to Wenatchee and then north and back into Canada.
I spied an interesting road en route, that forks west of of Hwy 93 at Pateros as Hwy 153, and then there is a road that forks east at Winthrop, as Co Hwy 9137 to Conconully. It is this stretch that I am curious about..... is it sport-bike compatible?

Browse around the website of my buddy Randy the X Man:
NW Motorcycle Sport Touring
Go to the "Video" section, find the road you are interested in, and watch the video. Randy had ridden many (if not most) of the good roads in that area. You can also do the same thing in the "Roads and Maps" section. Pick which method works easiest for you.
As for the road between Winthrop and Conconully, I cannot find it in my DeLorme Atlas, which is not a good sign. It is national forest and to my knowlege there are no through roads in that area. I cannot find anything which looks like a paved road over the summit in my Benchmark Atlas either.
I see you are from Alberta. Randy went to high school in Calgary and lived in the area several years. We are always joking that a curve is a major motorcycle event in Alberta.

Hahaha... you are right about the curve thing. We ride mostly in BC and western Montana / Washington. We did a little romp down through Kalispell, Mossoula, Portland, San Fran, Reno, Boise, Spokane, and back last summer. 3000 mi in 10 days was a riot!
We are looking for something a little less pressed this year. We have a week plus the week-ends on either side. (11 days)
BC is closed for motorcycles now with their automatic $2000.00 fine + 1 week impounded vehicle, for 25 mph over the limit, and $200.00 for any speeding ticket below 25 over.
I sent Randy a note on Facebook. Thanks!

This will be the route for this year's Fogey Run......
9 days (one work-week plus the week-ends on either end). Tentatively the second week of July.
S Park St to WA-25 N/Little Sheep Creek Rd - Google Maps
Sedro-Woolley, WA, USA to Pincher Creek, AB - Google Maps
The west end overlap demonstrates the two possibilities that will depend on time available, which will likely depend on the weather more than anything else.
The long route is about 2500 km. Should be an easy jaunt with lots of time to enjoy the amenities!
PM me if you are interested.

Is the top map going and the bottom returning type of thing? I'm not quite following you with your two maps. I'll just say, the top map is good route. Done almost the same route about two yrs ago to Spokane
