Tank Bags for Multistrada?
I want a smallish bag, with a map/GPS clear cover, that holds the basics, phone, wallet, etc, waterproof, and not a pain in the ass to mount. Oh and won't scratch the tank.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

My setup from Twisted Throttle...
BC.TRS.00.008.8000 Bags-Connection "Daypack II" Quick-Lock Tankbag for SW-MOTECH Gascap Mounting System $79.99
TRT.00.475.102 Bags-Connection Non-Electric Topring Kit Part - DO NOT REMOVE FROM CART. $0.00
TRT.00.475.126 Bags-Connection Gascap Bottom Ring for Quick-Lock Tankbags & Camera Mount (BMW/Ducati 6 - Type 4) $27.50
BCK.MHE5111 Bags-Connection Map Holder for Quick-Lock Tankbags $20.00
I didn't want to go too big...this also expands if needed...Also, the map holder comes off, I don't use it every day to day use...

Just was over at the Revzilla Store in Philly. The Joe Rocket Manta bag is perfect! Except no clear cover for map or GPS. just a small opening for an Ipod. =:0( exactly the right size and strong magnetic mount. I'll keep looking.

I'm currently using this one - Cycle Case Rider GPS Tank Bag - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore
It's small and out of the way. Obviously using the strap version. I've had it on since April and did my cross-country trip on it, sliding it to the side for fuelups, and no scratches. I primarily use GPS / Phone - and the pouch/pocket is great. I did use a map, but had to fold it more while in a park area.
Best part, it's cheap! at $40
Worst part, I can see that around the zippers is already fading to a purple color.
Best picture I could find highlighting it - ignore the wheel strapped to the back of the bike.
I can take more pics if you want.

From personal experience I can tell you the magnetic mounts on the Joe Rocket Manta bag will not work with your Multi 1200 since the tank cover is plastic, not metal. It was a great tank bag for my old Bandit 1250, but is now gathering dust in the basement.
I went with the Bags Connection Engage unit with its quick-lock gas cap ring mount. Excellent system & extremely well made. No tank scratching!

I've got the Bags Connection setup that I'm happy with, though the map cover is an additional "assessory" once you buy the bag and mount...
