It would have been more informative if you posted a video of the original exhaust recorded with the same camera with the same camera settings.
You need to have a stack of $20.oo dollar bills next to the old exhaust & parts you took off for a comparison...
Thanks for the posts ,
That would put a smile on your face for sure...
Oh and another thing what about the Pannier support???
One needs to consider all the issues...
GOOD STUFF

Loud indeed. With the db killer out it's really borderline obnoxious for a touring bike. Even my track buddies said it was a little "over the top" when I'd let 'er rip. I had it out for a long time but just put it back in because of two reasons: It was so loud (nearly H/D loud) in the neighborhood that it was a bit embarrassing and 2. On long rides, which I do with this bike, the exhaust noise added to the windshield noise gave me a headache (even with custom ear plugs).
In my opinion, it's still got a nice exhaust note...just not as "hooliganish" with it out!

There are threads on doing it with photos too, just a few searches away, and the SF forum has a few threads with homemade DB killers too.

Does anyone know where to find this thread. Or who posted it?

If I do this I would go with the Full Race Zero Cat Akrapovic system.

Money? This is not about money or even common sense.
For me this mod makes no sense at all other then to make the bike sound like I think it should.
Even given the fact that I neither ride with panniers and/or passengers: which adds to my "excuse" for doing it.

I need this grief like I need a hole in my head.
But I'm back in love again like I was all those years ago and brains don't enter the picture.
I need to let this simmer just long enough so that I don't go ahead and spend a fortune to give the neighbors reason to stop speaking to me.
Not to mention calling attention to myself from every cop on duty. And they won't be at all impressed by my former "position".

Absolutely get the system that works for what you want it to do!!!
When I see/hear THE ONE that does it for me I will be hard pressed not to get it...
I just want to make sure that it looks good sounds good and preforms good . Included in the price will be the tuning needed and extra brackets necessary for the panniers if needed..
I hate buying something not good enuff I would rather spend more and get more than I need.
Except in the TOO LOUD department...
I can wait for a while longer but prolly not too much longer...
Hope you all find what you are looking for

Right then, I won't suggest fitting the Quat-D system.

I have the LV midpipe with the stock slip on. I think it sounds great. Lots more of the deep rumble it was missing to begin with. It is pretty loud but I have only heard it sitting on he bike. I wish I could hear it driving by.
It sure sounds good when I open her up.

Do you have to remap with the midpipe? Can you buy just the midpipe?

BTW, I have to say that the Diavels do sound better with aftermarket exhaust for some reason. Don't they have the same motor? I wonder what it could be.
