I have just got the 2012 comfort touring seat but not had chance to try it yet, I'll let you know as soon as the weather picks up, I had the standard seat narrowed down and lowered a little and found that very comfortable, can't comment for a pillion though

2012 and earlier seats
Not intending to hijack your thread but has anyone confirmed that the 2012 seat will fit the earlier 1200s? I have read that the 2012 seat is changed somewhat and might not be interchangeable.
Ciao

Comfort touring seat
I bought the rider section of the comfort seat immediately because it puts my feet more on the ground than stock. I find it very comfortable. I have only spent 3 -4 hours on it at a time but I really like it. I just bought the pillion section and she thinks its fine but has only sat on it for an hour or two tops. Looks better than stock IMHO

I am waiting for the Sargent seat to come out. If you contact them they will put you on the notify list and you will receive a discount when they are first released. I was very happy with the Sargent on my Monster.

I've got the DP touring seat and it's not much better than the stock seat, just a little different shape. I'm waiting on the Sargeant seat as well.

I had the 2010 comfort DP seat - gave it back to the dealer as no improvement for me (33 inseam, 6'3", 220 lbs).
I now have the 2012 seat on my 2010. You need to change the bolt holding the rider's seat at the rear as well. It fits the bike perfectly and it gives you more than an inch more space as the pilliion's seat is that amount shorter. I like it as I don't feel pushed forward anymore. You don't need to swap the rider's seat if you don't mind the rubbers at the rear to stick out from underneath the pillion's seat.
Hope this clarifies.
