I went for a quick ride over the hills to a breakfast place as I had to be back to take my mother to the doctor .I met this Harley rider and we discussed each others bikes .I was polite but sorry Harley is not my preference .my view is they are dangerous , old brakes and technology .just my opinion.many will disagree ,
However we talked about tyre wear . Harley 8000 kms in his view little wear .mts 1200 second set at 7000 kms . He looked at me and said you don't look like a hard rider . I made no comment . It is the bike ,as a rider you can't help yourself , the bike is a total blast and you can't control yourself , at least I can't .I am sure you average Harley rider has no idea what a mts is capable of and why the tyres wear out so quick .
These people will get a huge shock if they go diavel .what do you think ????

I rode out to Pensacola, Fl (from Ocala) taking the lame highway route as I left a lot later than intending. Tomorrow I'm going to check out the Naval Air Museum then head back along the coastline. Should have some pretty cool pics for you all on Monday.

What did you do....
Thethief,
You will love the Museum of Naval Aviation. Has some beautiful and extremely rare aircraft. I'm doing a museum tour in June. Air Force Museum,Steven Udvar Hazy Center (NASM Annex),and the Museum of Naval Aviation. Take a BIG memory card with you there are lots of cool planes to photograph.
Oh,I rode the Diavel today,F'ing quick bike! Not my cup of tea but I suspect Ducati will sell a bunch of them, awsome exhaust note right out of the box! You should hear one with the Termi system!!!!!

installed the AltRider water pump cooler and then washed the bike down after this afternoon's canyon ride (lots of run off, dirt, etc).
40 degrees in the local mountains and its spring in so cal!

Took a cold ride in New Hampshire today. It was bright and sunny but temps were holding around 35-40 degrees F. I needed a little mental recharge and decided to go for a blast anyhow. I ran about 75 miles North but had to turn back South as temps started to get down close to freezing. Stopped in a little country town and stumbled onto a cool looking town common and revolutionary era cemetery. I think old cemeteries are kinda cool, so I took a few shots with my blackberry.
