Change Headlight

How do you get to the headlight to change the bulb? I got a Sylvania SliverStar H7 bulb. It's much brighter than stock. The stock headlights suck.

Should be in the owners manual ..
Hope it don't melt the lens!!!
Did you adjust the headlight aim ? mine was way off took a couple of times to get it just so ....
I went up to 4000K and it was adaquate , and brighter than stock On My Hyper, with no heat issues ...
Just saying...

Replacing it with the same watts just more efficient, about 50% brighter. The manual tells how to adjust the aim but says, like every other thing you could do yourself, use an authorized Ducati mechanic. Sick of motorcycle manufacturers trying to drum up business for their dealers by trying to make any little thing a way for the dealer to gouge you.
On the bottom of the headlight bezel there are two screws that you can twist off with your fingers, no tool needed, but I thought maybe somebody had done this already and could lead me through the following steps necesary.
After this is done I will check the headlight adjustment.

Yeah there is bound to be an easy way to do it ..
Do a search and maybe PM someone like one of the sponsers ...
Or ask the dealer where you bought it sometimes they will even e-mail you the pages from the manual. don't hurt to ask...
I did that with the chain adjustment on my Hyper before the manual was available..
The service manager was a good guy .
Just try to make them feel sorry for you...
You will notice a difference...
Just sometimes the oncoming lights are too bright (maybe even Illegal)
then you can get Idiots tossing crap at you when they go by you...
Has happened ...

Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't want my lights too bright because I personally dislike people who drive with their high beams on all of the time and constantly irritate on coming drivers. The lights I have as replacements are the same wattage as the stock and yes they will be brighter but the Ducati's lights are inferior and I live in the mountains were you need to be able to see a deer ASAP. Even without the danger of deer the stock lights won't do me on low beam, there are no street lights and lots of turns so I have to run with the high beams or slow to where I might get run down from behind.

There are 2 black acorn nuts on bottom of bezzle, remove, they attach to rubber iso snubbers. then lift headlight assembly up and out, there are 2 mounting pins on the top that slide into rubber gromets, becareful not to lose them should they fall out, I would unplug both wire connectors other wise you take a chance at scratching the cover or fender when setting assembly on fender. Also place towel on front fender anyway.
