Closed/Open Loop...
Someone who has installed the full termi system, does the replacement DP ECU keep the bike in open loop mode through the throttle/rev range like the 1098 DP ECU? Or is it like the Streetfighter DP ecu where the bike still remains closed loop and a power commander can't be used in the low range?
thanks for the info!

I think it still keeps it in closed loop mode because it retains the sensors, otherwise i dont think it would still need the sensors.Im guessing it is open loop at idle and close to full throttle and closed loop in the cruise range.

It is still closed. But the Redline powercommander has a way of tricking the bike and does allow adjustments across the full rpm range.

The race ecu for the diavel and mts1200 does retain the sensors. We have just yesterday worked out how to disable the the o2 sensors by changing bytes inside the ecu code (just like the dp ecu does on older models) Its the best fix by far because eliminators are not needed.

With an $ 89.00 plug that you plug into your bike and you are all set and have open loop.

Which plug would that be? FAT DUC?

No, a sensor that Redline makes for the Diavel and Multistrada 1200 to make it open loop.
If you need one let me know.

I wasn't aware that Redline had sensors for the Diavel and the MTS1200.
I just bought 2 sets of Fat Duc for my Diavel and MTS1200 a few days ago. Haven't received them yet. Since both of them are Termis with race ECU, I was told that they are different than the standard Fat Duc. Two "plug-ins" are required for each bike... one for each O2 sensors.
How do the Redline ones work?

Single plug in, have it on my bike since day one.
Redline tells me that it makes the bike richer down low and makes it much smoother running.
