Alpinestars Losail MotoGP Gloves

Alpinestars adds another glove to their lineup for 2010 with the Losail MotoGP glove. The MotoGP branding adds some nice nuances to these gloves with full-grain leather construction that’s topped off with carbon fiber knuckle protectors and extra layers of the material in all the right places for added abrasion resistance. The palm is especially notable for its use of synthetic suede. Unlike some gloves, this suede isn’t everywhere, just where the hand is most likely to contact the ground should the rider happen to fall off the bike. It is in this way that these Alpinestars gloves will not mute any feedback the bike has to offer, thereby maximizing feel and increasing rider confidence. To secure each glove in place, a Micro-Velcro strap is secreted under a suede flap that extends aft from the palm, shielding it from abrasion and subsequent failure. Further back, on the medium-length gauntlet, an additional Micro-Velcro closure is used which can fit over all but the thickest of sleeve cuffs. As with Alpinestars’ top-of-the-line models, the Losail gloves use the patented third and fourth finger bridge which not only helps prevent excessive finger roll in the event of a crash, but also adds an extra layer of abrasion resistance.

Extra EVA foam padding is sewn into each glove to provide additional impact protection on the fingers, wrist and thumb.

Synthetic suede on the palms and sides of the hand help ward off road rash. Notice also that the wrist strap is well covered just under the area with the MotoGP logo.

Carbon fiber knuckles will never go out of style.

3rd & 4th finger bridge.

Available in three colors: black/white, black/red and solid black.
