FirstGear Laguna GPS Tank Bag/Motorcycle Backpack

FirstGear’s Laguna GPS Tank Bag is a backpack and motorcycle luggage accessory, all in one. With 1,725 cubic inches (expandable to 2,070) you’ll have plenty of room for your goods whether you’re traveling across town or a long way down the interstate. Made with a 1680D rigid Nylon chassis that’s coated with PVC for durability and treated for UV-resistance, you can expect this tank bag to last for years. It’s also backed by FirstGear’s lifetime warranty. What sets the Laguna GPS tank bag apart from many others on the market is its ability to house a GPS unit directly in front of you in a raised position. Not only does it make it easier for you to see the display while you ride, but it also protects the GPS from wind and rain. There’s also a separate clear window pocket for you to stow a mobile phone or MP3 player. The bag itself has ports that allow you to route wires for headphones or power connections to you and/or an external power supply.

FirstGear’s Laguna GPS tank bag does double duty as a backpack when not in use. Simply zip it out from the magnetic base and throw it on your back. The base also has a nifty clear upper area where you can store a conventional map, just in case your GPS quits working. For bikes with non-ferrous tanks, you have a choice of either using the included straps or suction cups to secure the bag in place. Like other FirstGear motorcycle accessories, this tank bag is well though-out with a grey interior that makes finding things in low light a little easier.

You can read all of the details on this tank bag on our website and then call TJ at 866.931.6644 ext 817 to order. If you any questions about this motorcycle luggage, you may also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM with FIRSTGEAR LAGUNA GPS TANKBAG in the subject line and we’ll get back to you right away.

After removing the Laguna GPS tankbag from its base, it doubles as a backpack.

The base comes with four strong magnets installed. In addition to this, straps are available with quick-release buckles to secure this piece of FirstGear motorcycle luggage in place. Notice that each clamp is backed by a durable carbon-look cover that’s designed to prevent scratching.

When you don’t need a GPS device, the base’s clear pouch can be used for a map and/or directions.

Looking inside the tank bag, you can clearly see the wire ports for both the GPS and MP3/mobile phone pouches. There are also Velcro tabs on the inside upper edge of the bag to route the wires through to their exit port on the back side of the bag so they don’t get tangled up easily.

Here you can see the GPS in a raised position. The small pouch on the end that faces the rider makes an excellent change/toll pass holder.
