Riders Discount is proud to offer Grand Prix Racing 6 gloves from Kushitani! All Kushitani products are manufactures using mature Japanese Holstein cow leather that is carefully cut so that only 60% of the hide is actually used in production. This is done for a reason, as Kushitani’s own research indicates that only certain areas of cowhide are strong enough for use in leather racing apparel. Furthermore, the hide used is not pull-dried, but allowed to desiccate on its own so as to provide a keen suppleness straight off of the rack.
You will notice how these gloves feel like they have already been “broken-in” the first time you put them on. And, to ensure maximum feel without sacrificing abrasion resistance, the palm is constructed using kangaroo leather.
Kushitani’s legendary build quality is evident in these gloves. Kushitani GPR6 gloves are designed first, with safety in mind followed closely by comfort. This is achieved through the use of the aforementioned Holstein cow leather which is sewn together using a tight nylon stitch. Stretch panels are smartly hidden behind leather and armor allowing the gloves to fit just about any hand comfortably. As an added bonus, the leather is impregnated with a silver fluoride water-repellent coating to prevent the gloves from easily becoming soaked when it rains. Inside, a Kevlar knit liner ensures your hands are as comfortable as possible.

The Kushitani GPR 6 gloves in black. The top of the hand is protected by five layers of leather, K-Foam armor and gel padding which are all carefully placed within the alternating layers of leather.
The fingers are all well-guarded with extra layers of leather sewn in on top. These are further protected with gel inserts over the knuckles.
The ring and pinkie fingers are guarded by an additional layer of Zylon fiber. Zylon is an aramidic fiber that boasts five times the strength of carbon fiber and seven times that of Kevlar. It is chosen for its exceptional abrasion resistance on these particularly vulnerable fingers.
Zylon also exhibits a high degree of chemical resistance and as a result, does not dye well, so it is covered with another layer of fabric that can be color-matched to the glove. This crash-tested glove has had the cosmetic fabric covering the Zylon worn away but, as you can see, no penetration has occurred!
Palms are constructed first with a base of kangaroo leather that is further aided by extra swatches of cowhide on the palms and wrist. This provides a long-wearing glove with excellent feel and a high degree of crash survivability. The inner thumb also gets an extra layer of leather that has a pattern impressed upon it for an exceptional grip on the bars.
