Nolan N85 Virage Helmet
Nolan Helmets introduces a brand new addition to their street helmet lineup with the
Nolan N85 Helmet. Built for street and sport riding, this helmet has a ton of protective features along with a very aggressive design and overall vibe. Nolan worked hard to perfect the aerodynamics of this lid with not only the shape but also the rear spoiler, enabling you to ride smoothly without any internal distractions.
The Nolan N85 Helmet is a full face street helmet with a bold, sporty design. The shell is a lightweight polycarbonate construction that meets DOT safety specifications. The aforementioned rear spoiler acts to maintain aerodynamics but also contains the venturi exhaust ports. The N85 also has dual top intake vents with a chin vent that directs air to to the face shield to help prevent fogging.
Nolan N85 Vortex Helmet
The one feature that sets this helmet apart from most is the integrated sunscreen (Vision Protection System) inside the shell. The tool-free visor mechanism operates only with the visor in the open position to avoid accidental opening while riding. The optically-correct outer shield features a push-button quick-change mechanism, provides UV400 protection and is fully Pinlock-ready. At the interior, the crown liner and cheek pads are fully removable, washable using Clima-Comfort materials, which are specifically treated to be anti-fungal and anti-microbial. The N85 uses Nolan's signature microlock retention system rather than a d-ring closure.
To sum it all up, we think this helmet is the top standard of Nolan street helmets, and is one of the best bang for the buck sport lids out there. Video review coming in the very near future.
