former Harley owner
yes yes, thats right i used to own a harley
after several brands and styles of bikes, i thought that was the bike that would work best for me and my wife for touring.
well i was wrong.
the bike was an 07 Street Glide
bought it and went right to modifying the suspension (one of the severally terrible parts of the bike)
Ohlins shocks, Racetech fork kit
more and more parts were added for handling, stability, comfort, etc... the cost kept growing.. yeah it was comfortable, the radio was awesome, it did pull the long hauls very nicely, and it didnt do terrible (for a 900lb cruiser) in the twisties.
but i just couldnt take it any longer.. i gotta get back to the reason i ride.
to have fun, get that grin on my face. i used to do track days on a CBR F4i. i miss it dearly and cant wait to be able to get back on the track, but for the meantime i need something that can cure my craving.
we have had several bikes, and one of our favorites was our 03 VFR.. we just outgrew the bikes capabilities.
so now what you say?
i have done alot of research on the MTS1200 and i love what i see. it looks like it will more than fit the bill for us. We should be taking delivery of a white 2011 MTS1200 with abs and hard bags within the next few weeks.

Welcome! Doesn't matter what you came from, once you own that MTS you will be singing it's praises based on your comments for likes and needs. I haven't heard any big complaints about the MTS, but I'm guessing that's what you've read too. Glad you could join us!

Welcome Most of my friends ride Harleys and I even considered buying a v-rod before I found the Diavel.
I'm pretty new to this forum myself but everyone here seems to be very helpfull.
Best of luck with the new bike.

The first bike I bought with my own money, at 21yrs old, was a 91 Softail Custom. Loved it!
