Thumbs up New Proud Owner Checking In

Hi guys: I have a 2012 Pikes Peak Edition with red bags that has been in my garage all of 4 days. It without a doubt is the most thrilling purchase of my life. Blowing all other possessions away by a long shot. I can't believe I own something so cool. I've worked all my life to own a Ducati and I feel like I can appreciate it to its fullest. I know you know what I am talking about. Photo and ride review forthcoming.

Not sure I have done this right but above is supposed to be a link to my bike taken with my iphone. I don't like the photo so I will do a better one soon. Not sure why full digital zoom is applied to the photo. Working on the problem.

Better photo. I think.

Better Photos Of My New Pikes Peak Mts - My Pikes Peak Multistrada. Stock with hard bags. Ducati Pictures Images and Videos

Hey guys. Here is a better photo, at least I think. I guess I didn't do so good on my introduction. So here goes. I am a 53 year old maritime captain working in the Brazilian oil fields and living in Pensacola Florida. I'm not always home, of course, but, if someone from the area reads this and wants to ride-let me know.
I actually went to the dealer to buy a Diavel, but realized, while I was there, that a Multistrada would be a better fit for me and I do not regret my decision one bit. I would like to ride the bike more and give a riding impression once I have. But, for now I would say my favorite thing is the riding position. The bike is far more comfortable than my previous bike-a 2009 purchased, new in the crate, 2007 Honda VFR 800. The Veefer was comfortable, but since the riding position, though relaxed, was more aggressive it became uncomfortable after an hour of riding for me. The other things I like about my Multistrada are it's performance, i.e. engine and suspension. Last, I love the style from nose to tail better than any other motorcycle regardless of category. What's your opinion? Safe riding to all.

Hell that is pretty nice of you ! IF I am in the area and you are not at home I'd be glad to take it for an extended ride, where do you keep the key? Just leave it in the mail box and when I'm done with it I'll be sure to put it away.

Yeah you bought a very nice toy. You will have a ball on it.
Enjoy !!!

Ooops, didn't get that comment out quite right did I. You have nice riding grounds I bet. That is one thing about owning this bike. It begs for twists and hills which I don't have a lot of. But, will get to N. Georgia with it now and then, though. Be safe MTScotty2.

What is great about the bike is that it will still be great years from now, up here we got to go for a few miles to get to some twisties , problem is the roads are plastered with speed signs that are supposed to slow you down , and we do 30 miles over posted it is a HUGE fine Auto impoundment Insurance woes etc etc...
But it is still fun at even the not break neck speeds...
Unless I trailer it it will be sitting till March...

I don't want to give my ride impression just yet as I only have 250 miles on her. But I do have an idea for a new name to replace Multistrada since it doesn't really convey what the bike is like or about. So, here goes my suggestion, "Super Fast Bad Ass Luxury Enduro with a Huge Cache of Class and a Tech Geek Trophy too". OK, so the new name is a little long-I'm working on it, but I bet it does a better job of describing her greatness than Multistrada. What descriptive, but concise name would you give the bike?

Thumbs up Best reviews-video on the Web for the Multi-1200S

If you own or plan to own a Multistrada 1200S you will enjoy this youtube video. I think it is the best review/video on the internet for the bike.

I think the best review article is by Ash on Bikes. Here is that link also: Ducati MTS1200 Multistrada S | Ash On Bikes
