The
Alpinestars GP-R Perforated Leather jacket is a new 2011 Spring Release from Alpinestars. This jacket is a fantastic new addition to their summer riding line up. High air-flow is the main concern of the Alpinestars GP-R jacket, that means it isn't really a highly universal jacket. This jacket does not come with a liner on the inside, so if your going to be doing any cool riding, we recommend you look at the
Knox Cold Killers to keep you warm in the cooler months. Also using the Alpinestars CE Bio Armor protectors in the eblows and in the shoulders.

The Alpinestars GP-R Leather Jacket is made from 1.3mm full-grain leather that provides the optimum combination of durability, comfort and abrasion resistance. This type of jacket comes standard with a 360 degree zipper that allows you to pair this jacket with some Alpinestars Pants to give you another level of protection when riding. Alpinestars is always trying to allow the customer to get as much protection as possible, that is why they have option of snapping in the Alpinestars Bionic Race Back Protector. There is PE protective foam in the chest and back with optional protectors that are available; CE certified Bio Armor back protector insert and Bionic Chest Guards that are available as an accessory. Additionally Alpinestars has added a new PU shoulder slider for added protection and to give the jacket a more unique style.
Unique to this jacket, Alpinestars has added Aramidic stretch panels that are on the back of the shoulders that allow for more comfort as well as an exhaust vent for the air coming into the front of the jacket. A fully perforated back will also help keep you as cool as possible. Keeping the jacket stylish they are using a leather neck flap with a snap button closure to help keep some of the wind down when riding. Like the rest of the Alpinestars line, safety stitched seems ensure that if you fall in this jacket it will keep you as safe as possible.
This jacket is everything STG was asking for and more, a great perforated protective jacket that was stylish enough for every rider. With a few different color waves such as Black, White/Black, White/Red/Black, and Black Green, this jacket is sure to have something for everyone.
