1975 500 gtl

A friend is looking at purchasing a 75 500 GTL with supposedly 5000 miles on it. He says it's in fair condition and runs and has seen prices from 1800 to 2500. Any thoughts on what it would be worth?

Look it over with the proverbial fine tooth, ride it to confirm everything functions well, and keep in mind that parts will be even more difficult to obtain here in the States than early bevel single stuff. Pay accordingly.

They were never very popular or desired when new. They had oiling and camchain issues and weren't very powerful either. They did handle pretty well though.Bevel Heaven has a thread on them in the forum section and the issues and fixes are discussed. I would think high hundreds to low thousand would be in the price range.
