i have a 67 cadet that uses a heel-to-toe shifter, i have the shifter (not with me atm) so i cant check splines, but do all the old singles use the same spline count shifter arm?
i need to cut one up to make a much smaller arm for rearsets, and the chrome on mine is a little to nice for an original to be chopped at, i would like to buy a used one in rough shape so i wont feel as bad cutting the arms off it to just get the spline part with the set screw,
are they all the same though?
This is what mine LOOKS like, but my bike is a 1967 cadet, im just not sure if the splines are the same,

i need to make something like the arm on the end of this, if the splines have not changed since then could i get away with a modern one like this and save me the hassle?
