900 ss classic wiring loom

hi people,any suggestions on what the best solvent would be to clean an old wiring loom on an 81 900.i want to be careful not to to damage the loom with the wrong solvent.

If the loom is just covered in dust and light grime I use Mr Sheen and clean rag. Works well.
