There were no paint codes and often colors varied between body parts on the same motorcycle. The yellows varied from a school bus yellow to a near orange. It was all up to the man who was mixing paint and the supplier Ducati wasn't on a credit hold with.
The best thing to do is to take the original painted part that you saved and have a paint store computer match it. It might still be different from your buddy's bike which is the same model but it would be the most original for "your" bike.
